How To Remove White Stains From Electric Kettle

2026-06-30

White stains inside an electric kettle are usually mineral deposits left after hard water is heated. The United States Geological Survey states that hardness mainly comes from calcium and magnesium and classifies water above 180 mg/L as calcium carbonate as very hard.

Clean the kettle Safely

Unplug the kettle and let it cool. Add diluted citric acid or a descaler approved in the instructions. Heat it only when the manual permits, leave it for the stated time, then empty the kettle. Rinse several times and boil fresh water before reuse.

Avoid steel wool, knives, strong alkaline cleaners, and mixed chemicals. Abrasives may scratch stainless steel or damage coatings, while unsuitable cleaners may affect seals and plastic parts. If marks remain, check whether they are scale, discoloration, or heating-plate damage.

Manufacturing and Quality Control

A direct electric kettle manufacturer controls metal stamping, plastic injection, mold development, heating-plate assembly, thermostat installation, leakage testing, and inspection. A trader has less direct control over material changes and repeat-order consistency.

Our OEM and ODM process covers specification review, sample approval, pilot production, boiling tests, electrical checks, and export packing. Quality checkpoints include automatic shut-off, dry-boil protection, leakage, grounding, temperature rise, lid fit, and repeated boiling.

Bulk Project Sourcing Checklist

Confirm capacity, voltage, wattage, plug, stainless steel grade, plastic material, cleaning instructions, spare parts, packaging, and certification scope. IEC 60335-2-15:2024 covers liquid-heating appliances rated up to 250 V. European projects should also review Regulation EC No 1935/2004 for food-contact materials, together with CE, RoHS, WEEE, labeling, and document traceability.
